We on the board made this change only today (Tuesday, July 7) after consulting various weather forecast services, seeing the likelihood for rain and/or showers on the 11th but the much better forecast for the 12th.

We are discussing whether to postpone it from the original Saturday, July 11th to the next day, Sunday, July 12th, 7:00 – 8:00 PM. We are aiming to decide ASAP based on various weather forecast sources. Thank-you for your attention.

Please come to enjoy the Mr. Smooth ice cream truck, and chatting with neighbors, at the open field at the Wesley-Greenmount corner. The truck offers a wide range of ice cream and dessert treats, and because we are getting the unlimited full package, guests can come back multiple times for different items! You will not have to pay at the event as this is being paid for by our association’s social activities budget. Please monitor our website (https://willowood.org) should the weather become a concern, where we would inform of a rain date if needed. If anyone would like to organize some games for the crowd to play there, or some other activity at this event, please let us know at board@willowood.org.

At our association’s meeting of last April 20, one new director was elected to the board, Rod, and one director was re-elected, Roz. Our president for about 20 years, Javi, did not run for re-election, and so he now leaves that role in our association with our high appreciation for his great leadership, work and care over so long. Our board of directors, with five members, reconstituted this way: Jaime as president, Javier as vice president, Rod as treasurer, Isaiah as secretary, and Roz as at-large. During our association’s meeting of November 20, 2025 (via Zoom), a draft for the budget prepared by our board of directors was discussed. After several questions from members (property owners) were asked and answered, the board members attending voted to approve the budget. The current $30 monthly assessment fee will remain the same for 2026.
